No Tourists Here

As the bottom picture shows, not everybody is unhappy that tourists aren't coming to Thailand this year as much as before. An earlier projection estimates the number of foreign visitors at around 20 million for 2009, but the figure has been revised downward to 14 million and may drop even lower. It isn't just the global economic and financial crisis that's to blame. Thai politicians and their supporters have been making sure that the worst possible image of their country is shown to the world.
