Cool and Breezy

This is Khao Kor, a mountainous region in Petchabun province about five hours' drive from Bangkok heading straight north.

Before the financial crisis of 1997, there was a big rush to turn the area into a major tourist destination and this led to construction of numerous resorts large and small.

What I liked most when I went there recently was cool mountain breeze blowing constantly at high elevations. It was so refreshing that I had a hard time making up my mind to come down from the mountains. I'll go back again in wintertime when the temperature drops to freezing level.
