Basketball superstar Michael Jordan did not make his High School varsity team. Albert Einstein had uninspiring grades in school and his parents thought he was “slow.” J.K Rowling was turned down by twelve publishers. (Twelve! Shouldn't she have changed "Harry Potter" to "Hairy Magician" after the third rejection?) Jack Kerouac, George Orwell, and Sylvia Plath were rejected by the publishing house Knopf. Warren Buffet, my all-time superhero, was denied admission to Harvard. And I don't feel too good, either.
