Regione de Umbria

We're in the picturesque "la regione de Umbria", adjacent to the Tuscany region and an area of vineyards and olive orchards on plains and rolling hills..

Our place is called La Casa Colonica. According to the owner, the main buildings were built in 1868. Her family also makes wine and olive oil.

There is a beautiful lake nearby (Lago de Trasimeno), one of the largest lakes in Italy. The best view is from high elevations, such as atop castle walls.

The bottom picture, with Vincent, Vanessa, Chris, and Veronica, does not show the height of the tower. It was way up there and offers a spectacular view.
The name of the town is Castiglione del Lago.

The third picture shows a closer look of the lake from the shore of Passingnano, a lovely town that has special meaning to me because I went out biking for several hours and ended up there by chance.
