Photogenic

I was in a coffeeshop and looking out the window yesterday morning when I saw a tourist walking by and then suddenly stopping to take pictures of something on the facade of the building across the street. She seemed transfixed and enchanted.
How nice it is to be in a city where even some little thing brings forth spontaneous artistic appreciation of a passerby. Florence is photogenic. Even if you accidentally pushed the shutter button with your camera pointing directly at the ground, you might get a lovely picture of polished cobblestones carefully laid down in graceful arching patterns over a half a century ago. I'm not getting giddy. Non ho bevuto il vino italiano. It's really that good here.
